Hungry for MEDIA

They line up side by side

Doing what they’re told

Amongst the faces you will see

Broken, new and old.

Eyes gleam out from empty faces

Crying loud they say,

What do you bring today?”

Another conspiracy on the rise,

And a slice of crime with that,

You know our hunger knows no bound,

Please feed us till we’re fat!

People dying, chaos flying,

Our saliva hits the ground,

And when we’re done with dish one-

Perhaps another round?

“Manny, come here and look-

There’s a kidnapping on my plate!”

“Mom, that food sure does look good,

with salt and pepper hate.”

So behind their dining tables,

The hungry people cower

And whatever food the news brings out-

That, they shall devour.

Blind, fierce, carnivorous

Far back the line will wind

Desperate to sit in the seats

Where others past have dined.

And the kitchen will always be

Cooking up something new.

After all, to feed so many,

Their numbers are quite few.

Moreover, when they have it seems,

Eased their appetite,

Deems a man’s

Imploring voice,

And for tomorrow night?”
